This research was conducted in Class VI A at SDN Serang 21 from January to September 2024. The purpose of this development study was to gather information on the feasibility of the Big book learning media based on Baduy local wisdom, to examine the improvement in students' reading skills after using this media in learning, and to analyze students' responses to the Big book learning media.This study employed the R&D (Research and Development) method using the ADDIE development model, which includes analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation phases. Data collection techniques included observations, interviews, questionnaires, tests, and documentation. The findings of this study revealed that the use of Big book learning media based on Baduy local wisdom enhances students' understanding of Baduy culture. Moreover, the use of this media significantly improves reading skills and helps students discover learning styles that suit their needs. This is evident from the responses of Class VI A students at SDN Serang 21, which indicate that the Big book media provides valuable experiences in fostering students' activeness, cooperation, responsibility, and interaction. It also promotes communication between teachers and students while sharpening students' insights and knowledge through evaluation activities. The study further demonstrated a notabel improvement in students' understanding, as reflected in the average pretest score of 37.39, categorized as 'Needs Guidance,' which increased to an average posttest score of 87.82, categorized as 'Very Good.'
