description: This research discusses how audiences accept the issue of bullying in Korean   dramas. Bullying is a social issue that continues to occur and become a concern   because it has a negative impact on individuals and society. In the media, including   Korean dramas, bullying is often a means of raising public awareness of this issue.   Audience reception in consuming media is a study because audiences have the   ability to create meaning and act according to the meaning they create about media   narratives. This study aims to determine the reception of Korean drama fans   regarding the representation of bullying in the drama The Glory Season 1. This   research approach is a qualitative approach with Carolyn Michelle's Reception   Analysis Theory. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews with 6 Korean   drama fans. The results showed that audiences interpreted denotative bullying in   the drama as the reality of bullying through scenes of violence and the education   and social systems failed to protect victims. Second, informants realize the impact   and consequences of bullying. Third, the majority of audiences are in the   hegemonic reading group. This research shows unique and personalized meanings   from the informants' different backgrounds, ages, genders, and religions.
