description: This research aims to determine how much influence Preventive Discipline and the Non-Physical Work Environment have on Employee Performance and the role of Job Satisfaction as a mediating variable in the Technical Implementation Unit of the Block F Market Service, Cilegon City. The research method used is a quantitative method with a population of 54 employees from the Technical Implementation Unit of the Block F Market Service of Cilegon City. Sampling used the saturated sample method with a total of 54 samples. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and questionnaires. This research uses the PLS (Smart Partial Least Squeare) data analysis method. The results of this study indicate that preventive discipline (X1) has a positive and significant effect on employee performance (Y), non-physical work environment (X2) does not affect employee performance (Y), preventive discipline (X1) has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction (Z), non-physical work environment (X2) has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction (Z), job satisfaction (Z) has a positive and significant effect on employee performance (Y), job satisfaction (Z) can mediate the relationship between preventive discipline (X1) and employee performance (Y), job satisfaction (Z) can mediate the relationship between non-physical work environment (X2) and employee performance (Y).
