Inovasi pemanfaatan limbah seperti serabut kelapa ternyata dapat meningkatkan kualitas mekanik beton, mengurangi pencemaran, dan memberikan nilai tambah ekonomi. Beton serat umumnya digunakan pada elemen struktur luas untuk mengatasi susut muai akibat oksidasi, suhu, dan penguapan. Tujuan studi ini adalah untuk mengetahui persentase optimum serat dan pengaruh yang terjadi pada penambahan limbah serabut kelapa terhadap karakteristik beton khususnya kuat lentur. Metode yang dilakukan pada studi kali ini adalah metode eksperimental dengan membandingkan hasil pengujian kuat lentur dengan pertimbangan lendutan yang terjadi terhadap gaya yang diterima dari variasi serabut kelapa sebanyak 0%, 1,75%, 2,25% dan 2,75% dari berat semen dengan panjang serabut kelapa 65 mm, mutu rencana f’c 20 MPa, dan menggunakan sampel uji berukuran 15 cm x 30 cm untuk silinder dan 15 cm x 15 cm x 60 cm untuk balok. Innovation in using waste such as coconut fibers can improve the mechanical quality of concrete, reduce pollution, and provide added economic value. Fiber concrete is commonly used on broad structural elements to overcome expansion shrinkage due to oxidation, temperature, and evaporation. This study aims to determine the optimum percentage of fiber and the influence that occurs on the addition of coconut fiber waste on the characteristics of concrete, especially its bending strength. The method carried out in this study is an experimental method by comparing the results of the bending strength test with the consideration of deflection that occurs to the force received from the variation of coconut fibers as much as 0%, 1.75%, 2.25% and 2.75% of the weight of cement with a coconut fiber length of 65 mm, the planned quality of f'c 20 MPa, and using test samples measuring 15 cm x 30 cm for cylinders and 15 cm x 15 cm x 60 cm for beams.
