High schools description: The problem investigated in this study is the low level of self-efficacy among 11thgrade students at SMA Negeri 1 Bayah, which may hinder their potential development in the educational environment. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the role-playing technique in improving the self-efficacy of 11thgrade students at SMA Negeri 1 Bayah. The research subjects consisted of 72 students divided into two groups: an experimental class (XI-5, 16 male and 20 female students) and a control class (XI-1, 18 male and 18 female students). The method used was a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group design. The research instrument was a self-efficacy questionnaire that had been validated for reliability. The intervention involved applying the role-playing technique in the experimental class, while the control class used conventional teaching methods. The results showed that before the intervention, most students in the experimental class (97.2%) were in the moderate self-efficacy category, while 61% of the control class students were in the same category. After the intervention, a significant improvement was observed in the experimental class, with all students (100%) achieving high self-efficacy levels. Statistical analysis using the Mann Whitney U test revealed a significant difference between the experimental and control classes, with an Asymp. Sig value of 0.001 (p < 0.05). This study concludes that the role-playing technique is effective in improving students' self-efficacy.
