This is reinforced by the prevalent use of instant skin-whitening products. Social media, particularly Instagram, plays a significant role in constructing the meaning of beauty. One account, @christyrsm, through the #TeamSawoMatang campaign, advocates that brown skin is also beautiful. This study examines how @christyrsm constructs the meaning of beauty for brown skin using qualitative descriptive content analysis. The findings reveal that the beauty meaning promoted by the account emphasizes self-acceptance, confidence, and inner kindness. The construction process involves idea research, content planning, and persuasive interaction with the audience to shape the construction.
