description: The issue of digital literacy among seventh-grade junior high school students in science learning presents a challenge in the digital era, particularly due to the limited integration of technology in the teaching and learning process. Based on interviews, students’ digital literacy skills in science learning are not yet optimal. Therefore, this study aims to describe the validation results from experts and student responses to the development of Kodular-based instructional media on the topics of ecology and biodiversity in Indonesia to enhance digital literacy. This research employs the Research and Development method using the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate) by Thiagarajan and was conducted in two public junior high schools in Cilegon City with a sample of 18 seventh-grade students. Data analysis was carried out quantitatively and qualitatively in a descriptive manner. The findings indicate that the Kodular-based instructional media has a high validity level. Validation by science education experts yielded a percentage of 92.02%. Students’ responses to the developed media were also very positive, with a percentage of 92.33%. Based on these results, the instructional media developed is considered feasible for further testing and has the potential to be implemented on a broader scale. It is recommended that teachers or other researchers develop instructional media with wider coverage and incorporate other science learning topics in the future.
