The background of this study is based on the low level of literacy in Indonesia, especially in Serang City, where only 53.57% of students meet the minimum literacy competency standards. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The results of the study indicate that driving teachers act as facilitators, motivators, and evaluators in the literacy learning process. They implement programs such as Tuesday Literacy, wall magazines, and matriculation classes to improve students' literacy skills. The Tuesday Literacy program provides opportunities for students to read and discuss books, while the wall magazine is a means to express creativity and share information. Matriculation classes are designed to support students who need reinforcement in their understanding of literacy. The results of this study are expected to provide a positive contribution to improving the quality of education and literacy in schools, as well as a reference for further research on the role of driving teachers in education.
