The research subjects were eighth-grade students at MTs Negeri 1 Cilegon for the 2024/2025 academic year. The research design employed a quasi-experimental method with two groups: an experimental group using PBL with Play Answer in traditional games and a control group using the conventional learning. The instruments used included mathematical problem-solving tests and observation sheets. The results showed that the mathematical problem-solving abilities of students in the experimental group improved significantly compared to those in the control group. The implementation of this method also enhanced students’ interest and engagement in learning mathematics. In conclusion, PBL based on the Play Answer method in the context of traditional games is effective in improving students' mathematical problem-solving skills and provides a fun and meaningful learning experience.
