Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIIIB dan VIIID MTs Negeri 1 Cilegon tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Desain penelitian menggunakan metode eksperimen kuasi dengan dua kelompok, yaitu kelompok eksperimen yang menggunakan PBL berbasis play answer dengan permainan tradisional dan kelompok kontrol yang menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dan lembar observasi sebagai pendukung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa pada kelompok eksperimen meningkat secara signifikan dibandingkan kelompok kontrol. Penerapan metode ini juga meningkatkan minat dan keterlibatan siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika.
