Kinerja guru akan dirasakan oleh siswa atau orang tua siswa sehingga guru harus benar-benar kompeten di bidangnya dan guru juga harus mampu mengabdi secara optimal. Terdapat beberapa faktor yang memengaruhi kinerja guru. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pengaruh kepemimpianan kepala sekolah, komitmen guru, dan partisipasi guru dalam MGMP terhadap kinerja guru Bahasa Indonesia di SMP Negeri Kota Tangerang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian survei jenis expost facto yang melibatkan 145 orang guru Bahasa Indonesia SMP Negeri sebagai sampel penelitian. Sampel penelitian dipilih dengan menggunakan proportional cluster random sampling. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan angket dengan skala Likert termodifikasi (skala empat). Adapun pengujian data penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan statistika deskriptif dan analisis jalur (path analysis). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) terdapat pengaruh langsung kepemimpinan kepala sekolah terhadap kinerja guru, (2) terdapat pengaruh langsung komitmen guru terhadap kinerja guru, (3) tidak terdapat pengaruh langsung partisipasi guru dalam MGMP terhadap kinerja guru, (4) terdapat pengaruh langsung kepemimpinan kepala sekolah terhadap partisipasi guru dalam MGMP, (5) terdapat pengaruh langsung komitmen guru terhadap partisipasi guru dalam MGMP, (6) terdapat pengaruh langsung kepemimpinan kepala sekolah terhadap komitmen guru, (7) terdapat pengaruh tidak langsung kepemimpinan kepala sekolah terhadap kinerja guru melalui komitmen guru, (8) tidak terdapat pengaruh tidak langsung kepemimpinan kepala sekolah terhadap kinerja guru melalui partisipasi guru dalam MGMP, dan (9) tidak terdapat pengaruh tidak langsung komitmen guru terhadap kinerja guru melalui partisipasi guru Bahasa Indoensia dalam MGMP pada lingkup SMP Negeri di Kota Tangerang. abstract: Teacher performance in schools is very important in achieving school goals. It will be felt by students or their parents, so teachers must be competent in their field and also able to serve optimally. There are several factors that influence teacher performance. This research aimed to determine the influence of the principal's leadership, teacher commitment, and teacher participation in the Subject Teacher Consultation (MGMP) on the performance of Indonesian language teachers of junior high schools in Tangerang City. This research was an ex post facto survey research involving 145 state junior high school Indonesian language teachers as the research sample. The research sample was selected using proportional cluster random sampling. Research data was collected using questionnaires with a modified Likert scale (scale four). The research data was tested by using descriptive statistics and path analysis.
