One of the causes is the ineffective use of learning models used in schools. So it is necessary to solve the problem by applying the right learning model in improving students' mathematical creative thinking skills. This study aims to determine the difference in the improvement of mathematical creative thinking ability between students who use project-based learning model with STEM approach and students who use expository learning model. The quasi-experiment method with a nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design was used in this study. The implementation of this research was carried out in one of the junior high schools in Cilegon City, with the research subjects being VIII-grade students who were divided into experimental classes with 34 students and control classes with 34 students. The instrument used was a mathematical creative thinking ability test instrument in the form of descriptive questions.
