description: Cardiovascular disease has become a leading cause of death worldwide. One form of prevention can be done through ECG (Electrocardiogram) examinations, but ECG examinations are still conducted conventionally by experts. The high cost and long travel time for patients in remote areas are a concern, therefore, this research aims to build a wireless network-based ECG transmission and monitoring system. This system consists electrocardiograph sensor, microcontroller ESP 32, and web. The sensor measurement data can be displayed on a web application in real-time with data transmission using two protocol, HTTP protocol and websocket protocol. The results of the research show that the electrocardiogram monitoring system with the websocket protocol is more effective in transmitting electrocardiogram signal data, but the electrocardiogram monitoring system with the HTTP protocol has advantages in features such as data storage and download.
