description: This research aims to improve the singing ability of students at SMAN 7 Pandeglang in learning vocal material from the Sundanese Kawih Wanda Anyar tradition. The research was carried out because there were obstacles in the learning process in the classroom, the new Sundanese kawih wanda learning had not been implemented in learning activities. Especially in learning the art of music. The limited resources of teachers who are not music teachers but fine arts teachers are a factor that influences this.  Through classroom action research (PTK) using the Kemmis and McTaggart model, efforts were made to improve the learning of musical arts with a focus on the new Sundanese wanda kawih. The new Sundanese kawih wanda was chosen because it is a new composition and the rumpaka in the new wanda kawih is easy to understand.  The results of the research showed that there was an increase in students' singing abilities after implementing learning actions. This can be seen from the increase in students' scores from pre-cycle to cycle 1, and from cycle 1 to cycle 2. Apart from that, students' singing abilities also increased overall. The use of learning strategies using repeated practice (drill) methods in music learning at SMAN 7 Pandeglang has had a positive impact in improving singing ability. There was an increase in the average student score in each cycle, and the number of students who achieved the score criteria also increased. In conclusion, this research shows that the application of learning Sundanese kawih wanda anyar in learning traditional musical arts is effective in improving students' singing abilities.
