description: Media is an inseparable part in the learning process. The active learning process is very influential on the teaching and learning process. Media has certain characteristics that are suitable with the needs of the learning process, so that it develops the media with a good quality that plays an effective role in the learning process. This research results a prototype: the AsBa monopoly. This research uses the R&D (Research and Development) method with two stages of research: a preliminary study is done by conducting a literature study & field survey and developing the initial product tested limited to 12 students. The instruments of data collection were carried out by questionnaire. Data collection techniques used is Likert scale. This research used descriptive analysis technique for analyzing the data. Media for learning produces a quality which is assessed from several aspects such as the display aspect states that the percentage is 77.7% - 88.8% that points out media is in a very good category; the technical aspect shows a percentage of 77.7% which indicates that media is in the good category; the instructional aspect states a percentage of 69.4% -86.1% which interprets that the media included in the excellent category. The instructional aspect also shows that 69.4% of students feel that learning in the classroom is more active and 86.1% of students feel that learning is more enjoyable by using the media of AsBa monopoly.
