After the lubricant is used, it will produce waste that is very hazardous to the environment, one of which is oil waste. To process oil waste into other products such as charcoal or raw material, a processing machine in the form of a rotary dryer is needed. The rotary dryer machine operates at a temperature suitable for the fluid or oil used. This research will involve the use of the finite element method and the use of Ansys static simulation software. The goal is to create a design for a rotary dryer drum that can be used for drying oil wastewater and is capable of withstanding high temperatures. Obtaining the maximum stress and displacement values from the design of the rotary dryer drum with variations in thickness and material. After conducting research on the optimum stress and deformation values for the rotary dryer machine material used in liquid waste processing, the chosen material is Low Alloy Steel 4140 Normalized at a temperature of 250℃. From the simulation results, the highest deformation values for each thickness variation were obtained, namely 0.62647 mm, 0.59032 mm, and 0.61004 mm.
