According to the 2023 Indonesian Health Survey, the prevalence of obesity increased to 23.4%, while overweight prevalence reached 14.4%. In Serang City, the obesity rate was 13.2% in 2024. The primary contributing factors include energy imbalance, lack of education, and limited facilities for physical activity. Preventive measures such as regular weight monitoring and Body Mass Index (BMI) calculations are essential, yet public awareness regarding these measures remains Low. This study developed a digital weight scale prototype based on the Internet of Things (IoT) to monitor and record body weight in real-time. The device utilizes a Load cell sensor connected to an ESP8266 microcontroller to measure body weight. Data is transmitted and stored in Firebase, with a Flutter-based mobile application as the user interface. The study employed the Waterfall software development model, encompassing stages of requirements analysis, design, modeling, construction, and testing. Testing was conducted in two phases. The first stage involved 10 participants to measure the scale's accuracy, resulting in an average error of 0.78%. The second stage involved 25 participants with diverse physical categories to test data consistency. The results demonstrated that the device could accurately and consistently read and display body weight data in real-time through the application. The application also calculated BMI and provided a weight progress chart.
