A strong vocabulary mastery is essential for understanding and expressing language, and animation films can assist it by providing engaging and immersive contexts. Accordingly, this research examines the effectiveness of animation film media in improving English vocabulary mastery. In its implementation, this research employs a quantitative experimental approach, with class X-9 as the control class and class X-7 as the experimental class at SMA Negeri I Cilegon. For sampling, the researcher used 30 questions that had been validated, with the research instrument divided into a pre-test before treatment and a post-test after treatment. The results show a significant improvement after treatment, with an average score of 79, up from an initial average of 72. This research demonstrates that using animation film media if effecive on students’ English vocabulary mastery in the tenth grade. Therefore, the researcher suggests that animation films be used as an alternative learning medium.
