description: This study aims to determine the effect of trait and factor counseling on career understanding in class XI students at SMA Negeri 3 Cibinong. The research is a quantitative research with Single Subject Research (SSR) experimental design with A-B-A design. The research subjects were eight 11th grade students of SMA Negeri 3 Cibinong. Data collection in this study used a questionnaire instrument. This research instrument is the understanding of students' career choices. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics with additional presentation of tables and graphs. The results showed that trait and factor counseling had an effect on students' understanding of career choices as indicated by the increase in students' understanding of career choices after the intervention. The results of students' career choice understanding scores in each session are as follows: baseline A1: KANP: 62 and 65 with an average of 63.5, SNAD:  63 and 66 with an average of 64.5, SN: 63 and 68 with an average of 65.5, DPN: 62 and 65 with an average of 63.5, NAZ: 62 and 67 with an average of 64.5, FPW: 63 and 66 with an average of 64.5, AFS: 59 and 61 with an average of 60, and FA: 61 and 63 with an average of 62. Intervention B: KANP: 83, 85, 96, 96 with an average of 90, SNAD:  80, 85, 86, 90 with an average of 84.75, SN: 82, 83, 92, 94 with an average of 87.75, DPN: 81, 84, 89, 92 with an average of 86.5, NAZ: 82, 85, 93, 96 with an average of 89, FPW: 74, 76, 85, 86 with an average of 80.25, AFS: 80, 86, 88, 94 with an average of 87, and FA: 80, 82, 84, 90 with an average of 84. Baseline A2: KANP: 104 and 113 with an average of 108.5, SNAD: 111 and 119 with an average of 115, SN: 106 and 110 with an average of 108, DPN: 102 and 107 with an average of 104.5, NAZ: 110 and 116 with an average of 113, FPW: 98 and 107 with an average of 102.5, AFS: 105 and 115 with an average of 110, and FA: 112 and 121 with an average of 116.5. This effect is supported by the results of overlap at a low percentage of 0%. Level changes in intervention and baseline A1 and level changes in Baseline A2 comparison with intervention as follows: B/A1: KANP (+18), SNAD (+14), SN (+14), DPN (+16), NAZ (+15), FPW (+8), AFS (+19) and FA (+17).  A2/B: KANP (+8), SNAD (+21), SN (+12), DPN (+10), NAZ (+14), FPW (+12), AFS (+11) and FA (+22).
