N2  - This research aims to identify the abundance and diversity of soil fauna on three 
types of land use in Baduy customary land. The method used is a quantitative 
descriptive method with data collection through direct observation. The results 
showed that there were two classes found, namely Insecta and Arachnida, with ten 
orders identified. The highest abundance of soil fauna was found in jami land, 
followed by huma and reuma. The diversity index showed that all three land types 
were categorized as low. The most dominant order of Hymenoptera was found in 
all land types. Environmental factors such as temperature, pH, light intensity, 
rainfall, and vegetation type are thought to influence the abundance and diversity 
of soil fauna in the region. The results of this study provide an overview and 
understanding of the condition of soil fauna in Baduy Customary land and can be 
the basis for further research.

N1  - Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelimpahan dan keanekaragaman fauna tanah pada tiga 
tipe penggunaan lahan di wilayah adat Baduy. Metode yang digunakan adalah 
metode deskriptif kuantitatif 
dengan pengumpulan data melalui observasi langsung. Hasil 
penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat dua kelas yang ditemukan, yaitu Insecta dan Arachnida, dengan sepuluh 
ordo yang teridentifikasi. Kelimpahan fauna tanah tertinggi ditemukan pada lahan jami, 
diikuti oleh lahan huma dan reuma. Indeks keanekaragaman menunjukkan bahwa ketiga tipe lahan 
termasuk dalam kategori rendah. Ordo Hymenoptera yang paling dominan ditemukan di 
semua tipe lahan. Faktor lingkungan seperti suhu, pH, intensitas cahaya, 
curah hujan, dan jenis vegetasi diduga mempengaruhi kelimpahan dan keanekaragaman 
fauna tanah di wilayah tersebut. Hasil penelitian ini memberikan gambaran dan 
pemahaman mengenai kondisi fauna tanah di wilayah adat Baduy dan dapat menjadi 
dasar untuk penelitian lebih lanjut.
