Mikrosfer katalis FCC ini dirancang dengan menggunakan material lokal seperti, zeolite-Y modifikasi, binder, filler dan matriks. Proses pembentukan mikrosfer katalis FCC dengan menggunakan spray drying. Spray drying melibatkan atomisasi campuran slurry menjadi tetesan kecil didalam ruang pengering yang dialirkan udara panas dan membentuk partikel mikrosfer dengan ukuran serta distribusi yang seragam. Seiring berkembangnya jaman, Indonesia membutuhkan FCC dari tahun 2022-2030 terus meningkat hingga 3,35% dipasar global. Hal ini didasari oleh beberapa faktor diantaranya kecepatan nebulizer dan variasi aditif. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui variasi kecepatan nebulizer dan variasi aditif terhadap sifat fisika dan kimia katalis FCC. Metode yang digunakan yaitu dengan membuat larutan prekusor dan zeolit kemudian dicampurkan dan diaduk selama 3 jam dan dilanjutkan dengan proses spray drying hingga didapatkan produk yang akan diujikan seperti uji Atrisi, XRD, XRF, PSD, LOI. Hasil yang didapatkan pada uji atrisi terendah yaitu 4-K-105 sebesar 3,4%. Pada uji XRF diperoleh hasil Si/Al terbaik pada 6-N-105 yaitu 0,65. Hasil uji LOI yang terendah pada 4-K-105 sebesar 6,4%. Pada uji XRD dan UCS didapatkan hasil bahwa pada 4- K-105 : 6- N-105 : 7-K-95 : 8-K-95 : 9-K-95 terbentuknya zeolit pada katalis. Dari hasil yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan bahwa katalis yang bagus pada 4-K-105. abstract: Fluidized Catalytic Cracking (FCC) is one of the main processes in petroleum processing to convert heavy fractions into high value products. Spray drying involves the atomization of the slurry mixture into small droplets in a drying chamber where hot air flows and forms microsphere particles with uniform size and distribution. Based on this, this research aims to determine variations in nebulizer speed and additive variations on the physical and chemical properties of the FCC catalyst. The method used is to make a precursor and zeolite solution, then mix and stir for 3 hours and continue with the spray drying process until a product is obtained that will be tested, such as attrition, XRD, XRF, PSD, LOI tests. The results obtained in the lowest attrition test, namely 4-K-105, were 3.4%. In the XRF test, the best Si/Al results were obtained for 6-N-105, namely 0.65. The lowest LOI test results on 4- K-105 were 6.4%. In the XRD and UCS tests, the results showed that in 4-K-105 : 6-N-105 : 7-K-95 : 8-K-95 : 9-K-95 zeolite was formed on the catalyst.
