The level of scientific literacy of Indonesian students has decreased, necessitating innovative learning strategies. This study aims to analyze the effect of the Ricosre learning model in improving the science literacy of grade X students on biodiversity material. This research used a quasi experimental method with non-equivalent control group design. Data collection techniques in this study used tests conducted before and after learning. The results showed that the increase in science literacy in the experimental class was higher than the control class. This is evidenced by the N-Gain test conducted to determine the improvement of students' scientific literacy. The results of the experimental class were in the medium category and the control class was in the low category. In addition, hypothesis testing was also carried out with significant results of 0.003 <0.05 which means H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Although there was an increase and statistically significant, the students' science literacy level was still low. This research recommends optimizing the application of the Ricosre model and developing other effective methods to improve students' science literacy.
