description: This study aims to determine the effect of concept attainment learning model on learning motivation and cognitive learning outcomes of students in class XI motion system material at SMA Negeri 8 Pandeglang. The method used was quasi-experiment with Pretest-Postest Control Group Design. The population in this study was class XI A1 and A2 selected by purposive sampling technique. Data were taken with test and non-test techniques, the results showed that the motivation of experimental class students was 84 and the control class was 78 with a good category. The results of the learning motivation hypothesis test using the independent sample test show a significance where 0.005 <0.05, so the hypothesis is accepted. Cognitive learning outcomes showed an experimental class of 87.57 and a control class of 73.42 and the results of hypothesis testing of students' cognitive learning outcomes using the paired test obtained results where 0.000 <0.05. So according to the provisions of the hypothesis can be accepted, meaning that there is indeed an effect of concept attainment learning model on learning motivation and cognitive learning outcomes of students on the material of the motion system class XI at SMAN 8 Pandeglang.
