The development of these skills can be achieved by learning chemistry, for example on chemical equilibrium material because it is closely related to the facts and concepts of chemistry in everyday life so that the problem-based learning (PBL) model is appropriate to use. This study aims to determine the differences before and after the application of the green chemistry-oriented problem-based learning (PBL) model on students' critical thinking skills on chemical equilibrium material. This type of research is quantitative pre-experimental with pretest-posttest one group design. The sample used in the study included 38 students of class XI-2 at SMA Negeri 5 Cilegon who were taken using purposive sampling technique. This research consists of four instruments, namely, teaching modules, LKPD, observation sheets and KBK test questions. The research data obtained were analyzed descriptively using Microsoft Excel and inferential analysis using the SPSS 25.0 application. The results showed that there were differences before and after the application of the problem-based learning (PBL) learning model on students' critical thinking skills. This result is evidenced in the hypothesis test results obtained sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000 <0.05 which means H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. In addition, the decision is reinforced by the results of student tests and non-tests. Based on the test results obtained the percentage difference in the average value of students' pretest-posttest answers of 55% and based on the non-test results obtained the average percentage of students' KBK achievement of 90% with very good criteria. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan sebelum dan setelah diterapkannya model pembelajaran problem based learning (PBL) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Hasil ini dibuktikan pada hasil uji hipotesis diperoleh sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 < 0,05 yang berarti H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Selain itu, keputusan diperkuat dengan hasil tes dan non tes siswa, berdasarkan hasil tes diperoleh selisih persentase nilai rata-rata jawaban pretest-posttest siswa sebesar 55% dan berdasarkan hasil non tes diperoleh persentase rata-rata ketercapaian KBK siswa sebesar 90% dengan kriteria sangat baik.
