"Farmer groups are one of the institutional systems in rural areas, whose function is\r\nto organize farmers on the basis of shared interests, similar social, economic and\r\nresource environmental conditions. Farmer group institutions have an important\r\nrole in agricultural development. The perception of the farmer group has an\r\naffiliation with the level of farmer participation in the farmer group. The research\r\nmethod uses descriptive and correlational statistical analysis. The research results\r\nshow that non-formal education, organizational experience and self-motivation are\r\nquite good. External factors include government and private encouragement, the\r\nnumber of outreach visits, choice of media and intensity of stimuli are also quite\r\ngood. Members' perceptions about the urgency of farmer groups as a forum for\r\nobtaining programs, increasing farmer capacity and as a means for farmer\r\nlearning. Level of participation in planning involvement (71.58), implementation\r\n(63.16%) and evaluation of activities (66.3%). Participation (Y2) through\r\nmembers' perceptions of the urgency of farmer groups (Y1) research results show\r\nthat the effect is not significant.
