%X This research starts from the young generations of Indonesia who have good morals and ethical norms, but there are also those who behave immorally. Film is a form of art that records a picture of a person's life and social reality in a place and culture. Films can also convey various moral messages, which are depicted through scenes and dialog that illustrate these values. Among them is the movie Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway, which is adapted from Yoshiyuki Tomino's work that wants to convey messages from the story of the struggle of its characters. wThis research wants to know the moral message depicted in a movie using the foundation of an author's moral value in the movie. The results obtained from this research are in the form of denotation, connotation, and mythical meanings contained in the movie MobileSuit Gundam: Hathaway.
%Z Penelitian ini berawal dari generasi-generasi muda Indonesia yang memiliki moral dan norma etika yang baik, tetapi ada juga yang berperilaku tidak bermoral. Film merupakan suatu bentuk dari karya seni yang merekam sebuah gambaran kehidupan seseorang dan realitas sosial di sebuah tempat dan budaya. Film juga dapat menyampaikan berbagai pesan moral, yang digambarkan melalui adegan dan dialog yang menggambarkan nilai-nilai tersebut. Diantaranya adalah film Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway, yang diadaptasi dari karya Yoshiyuki Tomino yang ingin menyampaikan pesan dari kisah perjuangan tokoh-tokohnya. Penelitian ini ingin mengetahui pesan moral yang digambarkan pada sebuah film menggunakan landasan 7 nilai moral seorang pengarang pada film. Hasil yang didapat dari penelitian ini berupa makna denotasi, konotasi, dan mitos yang terdapat dalam film Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway.
