This research uses an experimental method with a quantitative approach and design selection in the form of a - control group design. The sampling technique used simple random sampling technique. The results show that there is an influence of the use of animated video media and series of images on students' explanatory text writing skills. Apart from that, it was also found that there were significant differences in the use of animated video media and serial images. It was concluded that the use of animated video media and series of images on students' explanatory text writing skills was good.
