description: This paper aims to explore the problem of social disparities that occur in the construction of Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) 2 in Teluknaga District, Tangerang Regency. This paper examines how social disparities arise from the perspective of human security. The theories utilized are Barry Buzan's Human Security Theory and Bruce J. Cohen's Social Inequality Theory. The research findings indicate that the development of Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) 2, which is one of the agendas of the Tangerang Regency Government as recorded in Regional Regulation Number 13 of 2011 concerning the Spatial Planning of Tangerang Regency for the period 2011-2031, aims to address issues in the community but has not been in line with what actually happened. The construction of PIK 2, under the auspices of Agung Sedayu Group and Salim Group, has brought various disadvantages to the surrounding community. These include the loss of easy access to roads, the loss of livelihoods, leading to increased poverty and unemployment, and environmental impacts such as air pollution and flooding. Furthermore, since 2024, PIK 2 has been designated as a National Strategic Project, which has further contributed to the declining land prices. PIK 2 represents a unique phenomenon in Indonesia regarding the longest land acquisition process.
