description: his study aims to analyze the narrative structure using Vladimir Propp  theory which is based on the analysis of the function of actors and actions. The  research method used in this study is qualitative descriptive with Vladimir Propp  structural approach. The findings showed: (1) there were 33 functions of actors  along with 2 initial situations, 14 functions of actors and 1 initial situation in the  text of Batu Kuwung folklore and 19 functions of actors and 1 initial situation in  the text of Situ Bagendit folklore. (2) there are 9 action environments, 5 action  environments in the Batu Kuwung folklore text and 4 action environments in the  Situ Bagendit story text. And (3) there are 3 repetitions of functions in both story  texts. The results of this study can be used as learning materials for readers in  learning narrative structures that utilize Vladimir Propp theory, and can also be  used as teaching materials by educators by making additional material in  learning
