description: This study aimed to determine the growth response and yield of caisim plants (Brassica juncea L.) with different types and volumes of growing media using the wick sistem technique. The research was conducted from June to August 2024 in Margasari Village, Tigaraksa District, Tangerang Regency. The experimental design used was a randomized block design (RBD) with 2 factors. The first factor was the type of growing media (M) consist of 3 types, malang sand (M1), husk charcoal (M2), and cocopeat (M3). The second factor was the volume of growing media (V) consist of 3 treatment levels, 300 ml volume (V1), 400 ml volume (V2), and 500 ml volume (V3). The results showed that cocopeat significantly affected plant height at 7–21 days after planting (DAP) and root length at 28 DAP. Charcoal husk growing media significantly affected root length at 28 DAP. The use of 500 ml media volume resulted in the lowest plant height parameter. The use of 300 ml and 400 ml media volumes significantly affected plant height at 14 and 21 DAP. There was an interaction between the types of growing media and media volume for the parameters of leaf number, leaf area, and fresh shoot weight of caisim.
