description: Melon (Cucumis melo L.) is a fruit plant from the Cucurbitaceae family. The availability of melon seeds in Indonesia is still limited, so the government still imports seeds from other countries. Superior seeds produced through breeding  programs can increase the productivity and quality of melons. This breeding process involves test stages such as yield power tests, multilocation tests, and evaluation tests to obtain uniform and stable hybrid varieties. This study aims to determine the diversity and uniformity of yield characters of 3 F2 generation melon populations grown hydroponically. This research was conducted in the Hydroponic Greenhouse of PT Fitotech Agri Lestari, Dramaga, Bogor, West Java. This research was conducted from December 2023 to February 2024. This study used a single plant experimental design to observe each individual plant. Obtained observations using descriptive analysis, principal component analysis, and cluster analysis. The results showed that the F2-KNT and F2-ANW-2 strains had uniform horticultural characteristics in each strain, while for the F2-ANW-1 strain there was still diversity in its horticultural characteristics. F2-ANW-1 has a unique characteristic  appearance compared to the F2-KNT and F2-ANW-2 populations.
