note: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh firm specific factor (ukuran perusahaan, leverage, tangibility, pertumbuhan premi, dan likuiditas) dan pertumbuhan ekonomi terhadap profitabilitas Asuransi Jiwa Syariah di Indonesia. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling sejumlah 10 perusahaan periode 2018-2022. Sumber data sekunder berdasarkan laporan keuangan tahunan pada website resmi AASI dengan laporan masing-masing perusahaan dan BPS. Teknik analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan software Eviews 9.0 melalui analisis regresi data panel. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa secara parsial leverage berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap profitabilitas dan pertumbuhan premi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap profitabilitas. Sedangkan, ukuran perusahaan, tangibility, likuiditas, dan pertumbuhan ekonomi tidak berpengaruh terhadap profitabilitas. Sementara itu, secara simultan firm specific factor dan pertumbuhan ekonomi berpengaruh terhadap profitabilitas asuransi jiwa syariah di Indonesia.
abstract: This study aims to analyze the influence of firm specific factors (company size, leverage, tangibility, premium growth, and liquidity) and economic growth on the profitability of Sharia Life Insurance in Indonesia. The sampling technique used purposive sampling technique for 10 companies for the period 2018-2022. Secondary data sources are based on annual financial reports on the official AASI website with reports from each company and BPS. The analysis technique used in this study uses Eviews 9.0 software through panel data regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that partially leverage has a negative and significant effect on profitability and premium growth has a positive and significant effect on profitability. Meanwhile, company size, tangibility, liquidity, and economic growth do not affect profitability. Meanwhile, simultaneously firm specific factors and economic growth affect the profitability of Sharia life insurance in Indonesia.
