description: This study aims to identify the impact of using diorama media and event video media on the  shortstory writing skills of 11th-grade students at SMK PGRI 5 Serpong. Thisresearch employs  a true experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design. The study was  conducted at SMK PGRI 5 Serpong from January 19, 2024, to February 21, 2024. The  population of this study comprises 11th-grade students, with a research sample of 60 students  from the XI Accounting 2 and XI Accounting 3 classes. Data were collected through a short  story writing test. Data analysis was carried out using prerequisite tests, including normality  tests, linearity tests, homogeneity tests, and hypothesis testing. The results indicate that the use  of diorama media and event video media has a positive effect on students' short story writing  skills. However, there is a difference in the effectiveness of the two media, where the average  posttest score of the experimental class using diorama media is 83.6, while the control class  using event video media is 78. Thus, it can be concluded that diorama media is more effective  in enhancing students' short story writing skills.
