So the identification of the problem from this research is what is the  practice of underage marriage according to Law Number 16 of 2019  regarding Amendments to Law Number 1 of 1974 concerning Marriage and  the Compilation of Islamic Law and what are the consequences of underage  marriage law in Nyapah Village, Walantaka District, Serang City? connected  with Law Number 16 of 2019 or Amendments to Law Number 1 of 1974  concerning Marriage and Legal Compilation Islam. This research uses the  theory of justice and legal certainty. This research uses normative juridical  and empirical juridical methods with descriptive analytical research  specifications. The data used in this research are secondary data, primary  data and tertiary data which were analyzed qualitatively. The results of the  research show that underage marriage has a negative impact on children's  growth and development and will result in children's basic rights not being  fulfilled, such as the right to protection from violence, children's civil rights,  health rights, education rights and children's social rights. As a result of the  law of underage marriage, the position of children born illegally and the  marriage age being too young can result in divorce cases which cause many  people in Nyapah village to marry underage.
