High schools subject: LC Special aspects of education description: This research aims to develop a test instrument for computational thinking skills on genetic concepts and determine the suitability of this test instrument for use in evaluating high school students' learning outcomes on genetic concepts. The method used is Research & Development (R&D) with the Berkeley Evaluation and Assessment Research (BEAR) Assessment System research design. The BEAR Assessment System stages include construct map, item design, outcome space, and measurement model. The research was carried out in seven public high schools spread across the districts/cities of Banten Province and the Department of Biology Education at Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa in January-May 2024. The feasibility of the computational thinking skills test instrument for genetic concepts was assessed based on expert assessments (material experts, evaluation experts, and practitioners) using product assessment instruments, data analysis of product trial results, and assessment by students using student response questionnaires. The average assessment result by experts is 98.66% which is in the very feasible category. The results of Rasch analysis with the eRm package on 122 students who took part in the product trial showed that the reliability of the question items was 0.5 (quite reliable) and the infit-outfit mean square value was in the range 0.7-1.3 so that all question items were acceptable. Meanwhile, the average assessment results by students was 66.16% which was in the practical category.
