Researchers see the current social reality that social media is used as a source of information for audiences because of its easy and fast access. One of the social media that is used as a source of information is X. In the 2024 Election period, X was filled with issues regarding the election and the topic occupied the trending topic for several days. This study aims to determine how much influence the use of social media X has on students' digital literacy behavior in obtaining information about the 2024 General Election. This research uses media dependency theory which assumes that the influence of a media can be seen from the relationship between the media system and social conditions with the audience which will generate needs and interests. The approach in this research is quantitative. The method used is a survey method using incidental techniques, where researchers distribute questionnaires by chance to 100 respondents who are followers of @collegemenfess autobase. The result of this study is that there is an influence between the variable use of social media X and the digital literacy behavior of students in obtaining information on the 2024 Election of 0.632 which indicates a high value relationship between variables.
