description: This study aimed to investigate the influence of group counseling with metaphor techniques on self-confidence among seventh-grade students at MTs. Pembangunan Nurul Islam. A quantitative pre-experimental design with a one group pre-test post-test design was employed. The pre-experimental approach was adopted to explore the relationship between the variables and develop specific hypotheses. Data were collected using a self-confidence questionnaire. The results showed that six students were categorized as having low self-confidence based on the pre-test scores, attributed to specific factors. These students received group counseling with metaphor techniques to enhance their self-confidence, followed by a post-test. Metaphor techniques in counseling involve the use of figurative language to express ideas. The Wilcoxon signed-rank test revealed a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test scores (Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.028), indicating that group counseling with metaphor techniques effectively increased the students self-confidence.
