description: This research aims to determine the effect of wordwall application game-based learning on the cognitive abilities of class The population in this study were all students of class X MIPA SMAN 1 Pamarayan, with the research sample consisting of two classes, X MIPA 1 as the experimental class and X MIPA 2 as the control class. The sampling technique was carried out using simple random sampling. Data collection techniques use test and non-test techniques, the test technique is in the form of multiple choices to measure students, cognitive abilities, while the non-test technique is in the form of observation sheets regarding the implementation of learning activities. The average cognitive ability of students is 80 which is in the good category. Based on the results of hypothesis testing on cognitive abilities, a significance value was obtained (0,000 < 0,05), which means it is smaller than 0,05, so H0 is rejected, thus H1 is accepted that there is an influence on students' cognitive learning outcomes by using the wordwall learning game application.
