One of the learning activities in the independent curriculum is learning English as local content in public elementary schools. This research was conducted with the aim of describing teacher readiness in planning, implementing, evaluating and reflecting on English learning for grade 4 of elementary school. This research uses descriptive qualitative method to examine the condition of natural phenomena or materials. The subjects in this research were principals and English teachers from two different schools, two schools in district which SDN Kalideres 14 Petang and SDN Pegadungan 01 Pagi. The data in this research were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis techniques used were collecting data, reducing data, presenting data, and making conclusions or verifying data. Then the data was tested for validity using the credibility, transferability, dependability and conformability test techniques. The results of the study show that in terms of planning readiness, teachers have carried out learning planning starting from understanding the independent curriculum, understanding local English content, preparing learning tools, and preparing themselves before teaching. In terms of implementation, teachers carry out English as local content in class by implementing teaching modules, teaching tools, and managing the class well.
