This tradition is a ritual to reject evil which is carried out every year on the last Wednesday of the month of Safar. In the midst of technological developments, Karundang Tengah Hamlet remains consistent in implementing the Rebo Wekasan tradition. This research aims to examine Communication Ethnography and the meaning of tradition using a qualitative approach and constructivism paradigm. This research uses symbolic interaction theory to reveal meaning. Primary data was obtained by observation and interviewing five residents of Karundang Tengah Hamlet who were involved in the Rebo Wekasan tradition and one supporting informant from Bantenology, as well as secondary data obtained through documentation studies and observation. The results of the research show that (1) The communicative situation of the Rebo Wekasan Tradition in Karunjung Tengah Hamlet includes the implementation of rituals in the Al- Hidayah Prayer Room and residents' yards for the dudusan ritual. Ustadz Baedhawi guides the religious rituals, while Ibu Masitoh and the team guide the dudusan rituals (2). Communicative events in the Rebo Wekasan tradition include requests, prayers and greetings. The topic is a request for protection from danger, safety and blessings for society. This tradition aims to ask for protection and blessings from Allah SWT and strengthen friendship. Held on the last Wednesday of the month of Safar at the Al-Hidayah prayer room and residents' yards, with the participation of all the people of Karundang Tengah Hamlet and residents of other villages. Verbal and nonverbal messages focus on protection, safety, and blessing. The sequence of actions includes prayers to reject reinforcements, joint prayer, celebration, and sitting. Interaction rules use clear and meaningful language, and interaction norms include politeness, etiquette and etiquette during traditions. (3) Communicative acts include verbal and nonverbal interactions during traditions.
