TY - THES EP - 87 M1 - sarjana N1 - Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh giberelin dan lama perendaman terhadap viabilitas benih dan pertumbuhan vegetatif tanaman tomat (Solanum lycopersicum L.) yang mengalami kerusakan akibat penyimpanan yang tidak tepat dan terlalu lama. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Kultur Jaringan dan Rumah Jaring Penyemaian Balai Besar Perlindungan Tanaman Pangan, Hortikultura, dan Perkebunan (BBPPTK) Wilayah 1 Serang mulai bulan Mei sampai dengan Juni 2024. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok Lengkap (RAL) Faktorial. Faktor pertama adalah pemberian giberelin pada benih (G) yang terdiri dari empat taraf yaitu kontrol (G0), 300 ppm (G1), 500 ppm (G2), dan 750 ppm (G3). Faktor kedua adalah lama perendaman dengan tiga taraf yaitu 30 menit (L1), 6 jam (L2), dan 12 jam (L3). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan konsentrasi giberelin 750 ppm memberikan pengaruh terbaik terhadap kecambah normal (93,33%), potensi tumbuh maksimum (96%), biji tidak berkecambah (4%), tinggi tanaman 4 Minggu Setelah Tanam (MST) (12,22 cm), 5 MST (23,96 cm), dan 6 MST (54,45 cm), serta jumlah daun 4 MST (22,82 helai daun), 5 MST (58,98 helai daun), dan 6 MST (145,99 helai daun). Lama perendaman 12 jam memberikan pengaruh terbaik terhadap tinggi tanaman 5 MST (20,90 cm), 6 MST (46,78 cm), dan jumlah daun 4 MST (20,65 helai daun), dan 5 MST (49,65 helai daun). Terdapat interaksi antara kombinasi konsentrasi giberelin dan lama perendaman terhadap tinggi tanaman umur 5 MST (25,54 cm) dan jumlah daun umur 6 MST (158,33 helai). The research was conducted at the Tissue Culture Laboratory and the Seeding Net House of Food Crop, Horticulture and Plantation Protection Center (FCHPPC) Region 1 Serang from May until June 2024. This research used a Factorial Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD). The first factor was the gibberellin application to seeds (G), which consisted of four levels: control (G0), 300 ppm (G1), 500 ppm (G2), and 750 ppm (G3). The second factor was the soaking time with three levels: 30 minutes (L1), 6 hours (L2), and 12 hours (L3). The results showed that the treatment with 750 ppm gibberellin concentration had the best effect on normal sprouts (93.33%), maximum growth potential (96%), non-germinating seeds (4%), plant height at 4 Weeks After Planting (WAP) (12.22 cm), 5 WAP (23.96 cm), and 6 WAP (54.45 cm), and the number of leaves at 4 WAP (22.82 leaves), 5 WAP (58.98 leaves), and 6 WAP (145.99 leaves). The soaking time of 12 hours had the best effect on plant height at 5 WAP (20.90 cm), 6 WAP (46.78 cm), and the number of leaves at 4 WAP (20.65 leaves), and 5 WAP (49.65 leaves). There was an interaction between the combination of gibberellin concentration and soaking time on plant height at 5 WAP (25.54 cm) and the number of leaves at 6 WAP (158.33 leaves).
