description: This research was aimed to determine the effect of mechanical scarification treatment and gibberellin level concentration to break dormancy and seed germination of Manila sapodilla seeds (Manilkara zapota L.). The research was conducted in April - May 2024 at the Screen house of the Center for the Application of Agricultural Instrument Standards, Banten. This research used a factorial randomized block design, the first factor was the mechanical scarification treatment on seeds (S), which consisted of 3 levels, namely without wounding (S0), sanding (S1), and piercing (S2). The second factor was the concentration of gibberellin treatment, which consisted of 3 levels, namely a concentration of 50 ppm (G1), a concentration of 75 ppm (G2), and a concentration of 100 ppm (G3). The results showed that mechanical scarification by sanding had the best treatment effect, namely on the parameters of the percentage of germination power (82.22%). The concentration of gibberellin solution with a concentration of 50 ppm offer the best effect, namely on the parameters of the percentage of germination power (77.77%) and the percentage of seeds that did not grow (22.22%). The results indicated that there was an interaction between mechanical scarification treatment and gibberellin level concentration of 50 ppm and 75 ppm on the parameters of germination power.
