The text of the observation report is included in the text of scientific work and is a vital writing lesson. This research aims to describe the influence of the round table type and jigsaw type cooperative learning models, as well as the differences in their influences on the skills of writing report texts based on observations of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 8 Serang City. Experimental methods with a quantitative approach and research design, pretest-posttest control group design, were used in this research. The sample was determined using a simple random sampling technique. Data collection techniques use test techniques with predetermined assessment instruments. The results show the influence of the round table-type cooperative learning model with an average pretest score of 55.8 and a posttest score of 81.6. The influence of the jigsaw-type cooperative learning model was with an average score of 54.6 and a posttest score of 73.6. The results of the posttest differences between the two classes show that the round table type cooperative learning model is superior with a difference of 8 points. The average of the posttest scores for both classes shows that students have exceeded the standard writing skill score of 70.
