The number of service providers allows people to choose freely. However, there are still many problems related to online game services, one of which is related to consumer protection, including consumer losses due to computer systems that do not run properly, for example errors when purchasing game vouchers, debug and errors, server transfers, server closures, the existence of standard clauses, child consumers as online game consumers who are not yet competent according to the terms of the agreement, and other problems. The identification of the problem of this research is how is the legal protection for online game players for ownership of virtual money based on the Civil Code and Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection and the ITE Law? and how are business actors' efforts to resolve the closure of online game servers in Indonesia? By using the theory of legal protection and the theory of legal certainty. The method in this study is normative juridical with a statutory approach, conceptual approach, and case studies. The data sources in this study are primary data obtained from interviews with consumers who have been harmed, KOMINFO Pandeglang Regency, and the Indonesian Consumers Foundation, while secondary data is obtained from literature studies. Data collection techniques in this study were field research and literature study. Data analysis conducted was qualitative descriptive analysis. Based on the results of the study, it is known that the legal protection provided by EA Games as the Publisher and Developer of the Apex Legends Mobile Game is not optimal because Article 4 and Article 7 of the Consumer Protection Law have not been implemented properly. The responsibility and/or compensation of Electronic Arts as a business actor to consumers who are harmed is not in accordance with Article 19 of the Consumer Protection Law because it does not compensate for the losses experienced by Apex Legends Mobile online game players. Electronic Arts should provide more optimal legal protection and KOMINFO should increase supervision and regular control of online games operating in Indonesia. date: 2024 type: Thesis type: NonPeerReviewed format: text language: en identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/44629/9/Faizal%20Andaru%20Hermawan_1111190037_Fulltext.pdf format: text language: en identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/44629/3/Faizal%20Andaru%20Hermawan_1111190037_02.pdf format: text language: en identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/44629/4/Faizal%20Andaru%20Hermawan_1111190037_03.pdf format: text language: en identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/44629/5/Faizal%20Andaru%20Hermawan_1111190037_04.pdf format: text language: en identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/44629/6/Faizal%20Andaru%20Hermawan_1111190037_05.pdf format: text language: en identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/44629/10/Faizal%20Andaru%20Hermawan_1111190037_Ref.pdf format: text language: en identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/44629/8/Faizal%20Andaru%20Hermawan_1111190037_Lamp.pdf format: text language: en identifier: https://eprints.untirta.ac.id/44629/12/Faizal%20Andaru%20Hermawan_1111190037_01.pdf identifier: Andaru Hermawan, Faizal (2024) PERLINDUNGAN HUKUM TERHADAP PEMAIN ATAS PEMBELIAN UANG VIRTUAL DALAM GAME ONLINE JENIS FREEMIUM DI INDONESIA.
