This challenge stems from the use of ineffective teaching methods. The researcher is therefore interested in employing the Scaffolding and Inquiry methods in the instruction of review writing. Accordingly, this study aims to analyze the effect of the Scaffolding teaching method, the effect of the Inquiry teaching method, as well as the difference in the impact between the two methods on students' review writing skills in Grade XI at SMAN 1 Pabuaran. This research adopts a quantitative approach. The methodology utilized is an experimental method with a Pretest-Posttest control group design. The sampling technique employed is random sampling, with class XI-3 serving as the experimental group and class XI-1 as the control group. The data collected consists of the results of review writing tests from the pretest and posttest, which were analyzed using statistical calculations via SPSS version 29. Hypothesis testing was conducted using the t-test. The t-test results indicated a significance level for both the Scaffolding and Inquiry methods of 0.001 < 0.005, thus accepting the alternative hypothesis (Ha) and rejecting the null hypothesis (Ho).
