As a result, many students lack cooperation during discussion activities because it only belongs to active students and not all students can evenly express their ideas. The purpose of this study is to describe the effect of Take and Give Learning method , Jig Saw method, and the difference between Take and Give Learning method and Jig Saw method on the ability to discuss class X students in Indonesian language learning at SMA Negeri 1 Pabuaran. This research utilizes experimental methods with a quantitative approach and design selection in the form of pretest-posttest control group design. Sampling technique with cluster class. Data collection techniques from the results of writing tests delivered orally in the form of pretest-posttest experimental and control classes with assessment instruments, namely, fluency, accuracy of narrative stile, sentence accuracy, word accuracy, understanding, orderly delivery of ideas, argumentation skills, originality and accuracy of ideas. The results showed the effect of the Take and Give Learning method with an average pretest score of 59.56 and a posttest score of 82.16. Then, the effect of the Jig Saw method with an average pretest score of 57.67 and a posttest score of 74.2. Furthermore, the results of the posttest difference show that the Take and Give Learning method is superior with a difference of 7.96 points.
