%X This research is motivated by the certainty of information regarding who the main character is in the novel Bumi Kunci by Pramodeya Ananta Toer. This research was studied by utilizing the structural study theory model of A. J. Greimas. The aims of this research are: (1) to describe who the main characters have a role in building relationships between things in the novel Bumi Human by Pramodeya Ananta Toer, (2) to describe the actential scheme and functional model in the novel Bumi Human by Pramoedya Ananta Toer, (3) find out whether the novel Bumi Perempuan can be used as material for literary appreciation in high school. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods. Data collection techniques use descriptive, descriptive and library research methods. The data in this research is all that was obtained from recording objects, events and symptoms contained in the novel Earth of Mankind. The main data source in this research is the novel Bumi Perempuan, with the help of books related to literary theory, as well as other literature that supports this research. The conclusions obtained in this research are: (1) the actant scheme can be used to see the main characters in the novel BumiHuman, (2) the story structure of the novel BumiHuman based on the actant scheme has many and varied story structures, (3) Novel Bumi Humans by Pramodeya Ananta Toer can be used as material for literary appreciation in high school.
%Z Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kepastian informasi mengenai siapa tokoh utama dalam novel Bumi Manusia karya Pramodeya Ananta Toer. Penilitian ini dikaji dengan memanfaatkan  teori kajian struktural model A. J. Greimas. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu: (1) mendeskripsikan siapa tokoh utama yang memiliki peran dalam membangun hubungan antar hal dalam novel Bumi Manusia karya Pramodeya Ananta Toer, (2) mendeskripsikan skema aktansial dan model fungsional dalam novel Bumi Manusia karya Pramoedya Ananta Toer, (3) mencari tahu dapatkah novel Bumi Manusia digunakan untuk bahan apresiasi sastra di SMA. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kulitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode batat, deskripsi, dan riset kepustakaan. Data dalam penelitian ini yaitu keseluruhan yang didapatkan dari pencatatan objek, peristiwa, serta gejala yang terdapat pada novel Bumi Manusia. Sumber data utama dalam penelitian ini pada novel Bumi Manusia, dengan dibantu buku-buku yang berkaitan dengan teori sastra, serta pustaka lain yang menunjang penelitian ini. Simpulan yang didapat pada penelitian ini yakni: (1) skema aktan dapat digunakan untuk melihat tokoh utama pada novel Bumi Manusia, (2) struktur cerita novel Bumi Manusia berdasarkan skema aktan mempunyai struktur cerita yang banyak dan bermacam-macam, (3) Novel Bumi Manusia  karya Pramodeya Ananta Toer dapat dijadikan sebagai bahan apresiasi sastra di SMA.
