description: Based on the results of interviews and observations in three junior high schools in Serang City, it shows that students' critical thinking skills still tend to be low. Students' understanding can be affected by the teaching materials and learning models used. So, the development of LKPD based on Problem Based Learning is a solution to train students' critical thinking skills. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of Problem Based Learning-based LKPD on human influence materials on ecosystems in training the critical thinking skills of grade VII junior high school students. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) according to Thiagarajan (1974) which is limited to the dissemination stage which is only limited to limited trials. The instruments used are validation questionnaires, learning observation sheets and student response questionnaires. Data analysis was carried out in a descriptive, quantitative and qualitative manner. The results of the study showed that the validation of material experts got a percentage of 81.25% and was included in the "valid" category, while the validation of teaching material experts received a percentage of 94.63% and was included in the "very valid" category. So, if the percentage value of the experts is calculated on average, a percentage value of 87.94% is obtained and is included in the category of "very valid". For the effectiveness of the use of problem-based learning-based LKPD, from the observer assessment, it received a percentage value of 89.24% and was included in the "very good" category. Meanwhile, from the results of the response, the students got a percentage score of 84.26% and were included in the "very good" category as well. Thus, LKPD is based on problem-based learning on the material of human influence on the ecosystem, effective to be used in the learning process and can train students' critical thinking skills.
