This research uses an experimental method with a quantitative approach and a pretest and posttest research design. The sample for this research was determined by random sampling among class X students of SMA PGRI 109 Tangerang City. The data collection technique was taken from the test results by conducting a pretest and posttest for the experimental class and control class with a grid of assessment instruments, namely theme, imagination, diction, figure of speech, and meaning. The findings in this research prove that there is effectiveness of Indonesian Wonderland videos and calm short films on poetry writing skills. The experimental class pretest results showed an average value of 60.07, while the control class pretest results showed an average value of 55.60. The results of the experimental class posttest using the IndonesianWonderland video showed an average value of 80.00, while the control class posttest results using a calm short film showed an average value of 75.20. There is a difference in the average posttest score for the experimental and control classes of 5.20 points. It can be concluded that the use of Indonesian Wonderland videos is more effective in learning poetry writing skills.
