description: The need for food will increase along with the growth of Indonesia’s population. It is feared that its movement is fast and difficult to stop, it will exceed the amount of food supplies. This research aims to find out how the process of implementing community empowerment by the Food Security Service of Indragiri Hulu Regency for KWT (Women’s Farmers Group) Kemuning in Baturijal Hulu Village through the Sustainable Food Yard (P2L) Program and find out the constraints and obstacles that arise during the community empowerment process and their solutions. This writing was carried out using descriptive qualitative methods. The data collection technique used were observation, interviews, documentation and literature study. The steps in data analysis include data reduction, data display, data validity, and data verification. The diversification of plants and products produced from the yard has a positive impact on increasing family income. The P2L Program helps improve food security at the household level. By utilizing the yard to grow various types of vegetables and fruit, KWT members can meet their daily food needs more independently an sustainably. This program encourages environmentally friendly and sustainable agricultural practices. The use of organic fertilizer and agricultural techniques that pay attention to environmental sustainability reduces negative impacts on the local ecosystem. Overall, the P2L program at KWT makes a significant contribution to community empowerment through increasing capacity, income, food security, social strengthening and environmental sustainability. Therefore, this program is worthy of being developed as a model of sustainable community empowerment.
